It feels so long ago in our colourful skinny jeans under an overcast sky.
I had a handheld video camera and took stills from the over-exposed, super-backlit footage.
Carmen brought cupcakes.
Adrianne had just started matric.
Op 'n mooi dag, soos vandag.
So young/so vital/so star-crossed.
This was the beginning of our clothing/photography group, BANDITS. And a long-ass rivalry with we-are-awesome.
We covered the first Van Coke Kartel and aKing launches. Ohyes. God knows how we managed without any experience/equipment. The first "business cards" we made were hand-stencilled/written. Van Coke thought we were the new Misdaad Kinders. Thanks Wentzel.
We called these two boys the "Voodoo Love Children". Ran into both of them in Shack some time later. Um ja...(more on Shack laterrr...)
