...Sanity is a place most never see -- many, many consecutive nights of waving flags and drinking gin or whiskey and then finally friday, although friday could have been wednesday or monday or sunday. Van Coke Kartel at Zula..waiting til the soccer finished then til midnight so we could (flash)dance. A semi-acoustic set, England supporters curtaining the stage with a huge Templar-cross banner. It was fun, but the air was heavy, voices hoarse, limbs weary - the world cup draining the spirit(s) from every night and day and day and night. And so, on til Saturday (or Monday? Or die laaste sondag, voor ons stof word?), and then another week and another after that ad infinitum. Te veel dae sonder slaap/ Soek vir 'n nuwwe perspektief. Indeed.

Back when my hair was black. And it was July winter. Now again. So there are some old, some new. Friends, musicians, relatives etc. Random compilation. Woodpanel colours.A few weeks ago in June on a hilltop. The wrong house: cars on bricks, a flashback to Jeffrey's Bay crazed dog woman. Sitting in the car, watching the mist. "Let me just test this flash in the car...", "Testing..testing..say something..Naar. Great. I think I deleted that. Oh no..wait.." Wondering if draincleaner could substitute as alcohol if the worst came to the worst. And in between a picture of one-time Jesus, in a long, plastic hallway (?). And/Or Matt Berry."If there is another photographer I'm not taking pictures." When did any of our statements hold true? Here's to another July and twelve months of snapshot-times in between.

Aka Androgynous Jesus aka Champion aka Glittered Tranny. The last with utmost respect. Did not have flash (again), but perhaps a good thing as a young snapper was thrown off the altar. Ended up swept into the sea people, thrown to the front (yes!) and then punched in the face (no!)...it was accidental, of course, and because he is such a huge fan (see: AMPIE! WE LOVE YOU! WELL, I LOVE YOU!) his face (worshipfully gazing) gets to be in the BOO! post. See you at the next show, boytjie.
